Meet Colin Baker

Pronouns: They/Them

Hi, I'm Colin! I've been working as a psychotherapist since 2017 and I love the opportunities that I have had to get to know and help people through this line of work.

Outside of work I find myself most engaged in playing games with my friends or spending time with my dog. I love to craft, including crochet and embroidery, and am always fascinated by the natural world. Native edible plant species and sea life are two areas i always feel like I want to learn more in, as well as psychology and neuroscience. I like to procure my favorite media in physical form and have a growing collection of CD's, DVD's and Blu-Ray discs. Retro anime and computer games also eat my free time, and I have been lucky enough to build my own PC to play on.

My Education & Experience

I completed a double Bachelor's of Science degree for undergraduate school in both Psychology and Criminology in 2014. Following this, I completed my Master's of Arts in Counseling and Human Services in 2018 with a focus on Addiction treatment. Since then I have completed requirements for dual licensure as an LPC and an LAC (Addictions Therapist).

I began working with individuals and groups during my graduate program in 2017, and have been doing so since. I have work experience in various environments including University settings, Psychiatric Hospitals, Private Practices, Substance Use Treatment Programs, and Integrated Health Group Practices. I have worked in various levels of care through those settings, including Residential In-Patient, Partial Hospitalization Programs, Intensive Outpatient Programs, and Out Patient treatment.
